Get to know your sewing Machine Class
Join our introductory session how to use your sewing machine suitable for first time users or a refresher course.
This class will help you understand how to thread up the machine, wind the bobbing accurately, change a needle and how to accurately use the machine to make a simple tote bag.
Perfect for those looking to gain confidence using their sewing machine.
Bring your own Sewing Machine But make sure it is working ( I can check your machine, BUT not on the day), or book one of my loan machines.

Introduction into dress making
If you are learning to sew and would like to make clothing, this would be a ideal class to take.
You will understand the process of pattern placement, cutting out and then fabric assembly.
Fabric and haberdashery will be provided
What you will learn:
- How to place your pattern
- How to cut your fabric
- How to finish seams
- How to attach a facing
- How to make a pocket
This class is suitable for those who are comfortable with the basics of using a sewing machine . If you have attended my getting to know your sewing machine workshop, then you will have the necessary skills. The cost of the workshop is

Trouser making

This session is for a reasonably competent maker, you will create either wide leg or barrel trouser. The pattern has a soft elasticated waistband. The pattern has a simple construction for beginners.
The trousers can be made in: linen or cotton denim mini cord What you will learn:
- How to cut your fabric adding markings
- How to cut fabric pieces
- How to finish your raw edges
- How to add an elastic waistband.
- How to hem
This class is suitable for competent beginner sewists.
You can either purchase fabric from our current stock or buy your own. Thread, elastic plus any other haberdashery will be provided.

Sewing Group
PLEASE BE AWARE This isn't a formally taught workshop
Do you own a sewing machine that's sitting in your loft? Would you like sew in a community of other enthusiasts? I am running a group in Warmington for people who can sew but may need a little help with their sewing project.
Competent Skill level to advanced are welcome ; bring a project and share in your knowledge with others.
Please note that you are required to bring your own sewing Machine, unless you have booked one with me preferably the week before.
Irons and extension cables are provided. I will bring a selection of haberdashery for use. Fabric can be purchased from me at a lower cost
